Links golf as it should be!

We anxiously anticiapted our visit to N & P for months - of course praying for good weather and hoping our "A" games would be with us that day. From the booking experience (thanks Noleen and Karl) to the post-round pint of Guiness, we thoroughly enjoyed our day. N&P is a "must play" in the Donegal area. The course equally challenged our talents (handicaps from 8-32, husbands and wives) and our caddies entertained and coached (thanks Kevin, Frankie, Jerry and Owen). The course layout, conditiions and scenery were just as envisioned. Don't be pressured by the gallery (cattle) or afraid of the forced carries - Kevin and his team will find your ball everytime. Hats off to the owners, members and the Hanse/Wagner team for restoring such a links gem. So if you're headed to NW Ireland, book your team time and enjoy your day!

A true gem hidden in the middle of no where.

Narin and Portoo is relatively flat and somewhat protected from the ocean by a barrier of dunes. The rough is still tough and you must keep your shots online. Views from the 9th tee are great, just don’t forget that you’re shooting OVER the 8th green towards the fairway and are totally blind to the 9th green. The course was lengthed some years ago to a par 72; that involved stretching out the back 9 with 4 par 5s including 3 consecutive through 13-15. The views off of 15 tee that curves around the beach will be among the best golf photos anywhere. Conditioning was ok, but some patchy spots on the greens were annoying. Narin’s clubhouse is simple without the great views, but the food is amazing – more people came in for the food on Friday evening than came to play golf during the day.

Stunning Setting

Narin and Portnoo is set in a beautiful part of Ireland's most stunning county.
The course itself is a constant challenge and wind is always going to play a part in links golf. There's some fabulous holes using the natural undulations of the dunes.
You wont be disappointed.
