Course Review and Comments
A terrific golf experience. The longest 6,300 yards you will ever play. Front nine is very sloped and the back is a valley/parkland setting with a lot of water. Two extremely different nine's. A lot of beautiful, large trees throughout. Wedged between Westchester Country Club (major PGA course) and Appowamis Country Club (one of the oldest tracks in the U.S.), the course has virtually no housing on it except for a few mansions separating the 5th hole from Westchester CC. Terrific club, great members. Club is considering some design improvements on the front side. Designed by Maurice McCarthy who also designed the Hershey West Course (Ben Hogan was the pro there in 1950). Updated by Ken Dye.
