Course Review and Comments

We used to live on this golf course and were members. We moved to another golf course community because Wildwood Green was not family friendly. We have since relocated to South Carolina and were back to visit family in Raleigh for Easter. We decided to play at Wildwood Green. Some things are different now, but for the most part this course is frequented by older retirees and the pace of play is still very slow. The course conditions were poor back when I sold my house on the 11th hole and they are still poor today. In the summer parking is limited and residents and golfer fight for parking spots since the neighborhood pool is adjacent to the golf course.

This is just a golf course that is in poor condition without any extras. Snack bar is basically hot dogs and chips, people drink beer but there is only one restroom so if you have your wife or child with you expect to see some guys relieve themselves along the tree line. At least it is not my backyard they are using anymore.

Next time we are back in Raleigh we will play somewhere else. This Easter vacation round was a strong reminder of why we left. Most of the neighborhood residents that we still know now play elsewhere. I guess it is a telling sign when people that live on the golf course find it better to join and play elsewhere.
