Course Review and Comments
I don't recommend this course for anyone looking to enjoy a game of golf. Perhaps if conditions were better and they improved the practice area it would change my mind. Play was also very slow and it was crowded. I had to wait on the second tee, fourth tee, fifth and sixth tee for 10-15 minutes each hole. We walked off after 9 holes due to the slow play. We started at 3:20 pm and would not have made it in before dark.
The sand traps on the golf course were not in good condition either, problems are rocks and the lips are just tired looking. The greens had lots of ball marks, perhaps the quality of player is a little more novice so they don't know better.
The layout is a winner, I hit the ball about 265 off the tee and did not find the course to be short, even though it is under 6500 yards, the holes are well laid out and require some thought. The fairways were decent, except for number 2 which only has grass on one side of the fairway.
It will be a ling time before I try this course again because it will take a long time to get the condition of this course to be a " 5 out of 10". I am not a course snob, I play a lot of public courses and don;t expect Pinehurst or August National, but I do expect grass, sand in bunkers and maybe a smile or hello when I walk into any business to spend my money. I did not get that here.

Low priced compared to other courses, but it should be even lower based on condition. |

practice green is dead, no real short game area, driving range is small, ground was very dry and had to search for a spot that was not full of sand. |

Nothing special, just some young people that did minimal amount of effort to take money for greens fees. No thank you, or have a nice day. It was afternoon, so professionals may have been out. The staff I saw was 20-somethings that gave the impression that they were doing bare minimum until they could leave. |

The lack of putting green and short game practice area was disappointing. The website says they have these, they were dismal. It looks like they have some irrigation and weed issues. |

This course has a nice, although short, layout. Unfortunately, it takes way too long to play and the rangers do nothing to keep the pace moving. After a three hour and fifteen minute front nine where

Good location, close to Raleigh, but condition is terrible. Watch out for rocks in sand traps and rough, some fairways are hard to identify due to weed- they don;t look cut, also greens are slow, bump

Could be a nice course to play if condition was better. I enjoyed the lay out with the exception of a couple hole. Greens were in good condition.
