Built in 1966 by Arthur Wellman of Boston. His brother was movie producer William Wellman who made Wings, Public Enemy and Ox Bow Incident plus 40 other great films. Mr. Wellman received the first Oscar ever for Wings (1929).

Wow, love this place. I worked for Wellman in Charlotte and have retired.

This great golf track. I worked for Wellman in the 1970's, wool divison and played many round at Wellman Club. It was the good old days with Randy Glover as pro. Plus we would play with Bill Bullock

I lived in J'ville years ago and stopped back to play Wellman again! Still a great track. I loved the back nine.

This course proves to be challenging for the decent golfer as well as the weekend duffer. Starting with a 400 plus yard par 4 #1, the course truly tests your shot making ability. The greens in general
