Course Review and Comments
I Just had to Warn others about this course… This journey started out at the tiny Pro Shop of which was half a mile from the course. The person checking you “In” didn’t even take his eyes off of the computer screen to even look at me. (1-31-2011 at 8AM) All he asked was "how many" and grabbed my credit card. His negative attitude seemed to flow right on down to everyone except the hard working Greens Keepers who waved back. If you have to go to the bathroom, go before you leave because the 6 Honey Buckets are disgusting. I would hate to be a woman and have to use those. The Golf Carts most likely have been bought from another golf course that were updating their carts. The course on the other hand was about a 7 on a 1 – 10. I played from the tips and found a few of the par 4 holes were over 460 yards with no chance to use a driver off of the tees. The fairways would run out around 300 yards from the tips. If your playing from the whites you most likely would be using a long iron or a choked up 3 wood leaving a very long 2nd shot. There was one par 3 with 131 yards from the tips that actually surprised me and might have been one of my favorites. The holes on most greens were poorly positioned on side hills and the greens were severely undulating. Some of the holes were painted white and others were not. The only thing consistent with the course was that you could easily tell they were not spending any money on it. Do yourself a favor and take a drive down to Southern Dunes Golf Club. There, you’ll be happy at the end of your round and you won't feel Ripped Off...
