Course Review and Comments
I had occasion to play Steve Kerr’s “Colorado National Golf Club” on New Years Day; don’t miss it. Located a couple miles west of I-25 on Hwy 7 you will find this diamond (formerly Vista Ridge) nestled in the rolling valley that abuts up to the Flatirons that affords unparalleled panoramic views extending from Longs Peak on the north to Pikes Peak in the south. Sporting the same stone/rock architecture popular on CU’s campus, the impressive clubhouse offers a masculine elegance that coupled with the amazing vista makes for a very inviting and comfortable setting. The breakfast burrito is the best around and if you have time have Casey make you up a bacon burger and fries; it must be good as the grill was near full of neighbors watching bowl games and lounging next to the outside fire pit.
697 yd par 5; are you kidding me? Nearly 8000 ft from the tips, wow. Although there are few trees, the elevation changes rule out a links course rating. The green played true and the fairways were nice enough for May golf. Manager Matt, although he appears to be about 25 years old, has achieved a Del Frisco’s atmosphere in the clubhouse, united it with a world class golf club to make what could be Colorado’s premier golf experience.
Colorado National Fever…catch it!

This used to be a great course, something has changed over the last 4 months.

The best course on the front-range. This is a must play with beautiful views and a great experience. Best practice facility around too.
