Course Review and Comments
Played on a windy afternoon, the course being quite exposed. Seems to me there is a cash problem - someone's great idea that has met a money shortage. The course winds between empty building plots ( on ly about a dozen properties are built), so with all the wire fencing youcould never call it attractive. The green staff have done a good job keeping the tees, greens and bunkers in decent condition, but some of the fairways leave a bit to be desired. Unless you put your ball over one of the fences, you're unlikely to lose it. There's no rough to speak of, and in some places a wild shot would simply be on an adjoining fairway as the trees are not fully mature. Some of the greens seem a bit unfair in that they are angled to the fairway and upturned, so your landing area is about 15 feet, and if you miss you roll off into a bunker. Might be a challenge for a pro, but a bit 'trick' for my 10 handicap. That said, there were plenty of interesting greens with challenging pin positions. For the money, it's actually good value, if you don't mind playing through a fenced-off building site!
