Course Review and Comments
Trini Alvarez / El Rio. At one time, home to the Tucson Open. Lee Trevino won here. Now Tucson City Golf's First Tee complex. At the time of this writing, they are updating the range coplex. This is a great course for those who find other desert courses around Arizona too intimidating. This course has tree lined fairways to calm some winds and challenge yourself when off the fairways. Much different than searching for your ball among the cacti. Two ponds are in play for four holes. El Rio may be a somewhat flat course but the holes aren't all straight either. The prices are right for a city course usually in good condition.
