This was the first time I had played this course - first up, its name is deceptive as only one hole, to which you have to take a long detour, is even remotely near the ocean (16th). That aside it is a reasonably good track, as you would expect from the Fazios, which is fair to single figure players and holiday golfers alike. My one criticism is the greens were very poor, too sandy and full of aeration holes. I know it is the time of year to do it here (the sister River Course was closed for similar work), but at $150 a round, you'd expect better greens (my home course of Mahogany Run on St Thomas, which I played only two days before, had its usual exceptional greens on display). Other than that, I cannot fault the service we received from all staff and the clubhouse faciltiers are excellent - also the GPS on the carts made a first round on some blind holes far easier than would have otherwise been the case).

I would play there again, provided the greens were in better shape, although I am keen to try the Greg Norman designed River Course, as well as the other top courses PR has to offer.
