This is a must-play while the rates are low. Formerly a private course, Timilick went public in 2008 when membership sales were sluggish. No telling if it will stay that way, but in the meantime, rates are very reasonable compared to other courses in the area, especially in the spring and fall.

The course itself is a gem, especially the back nine, which is the best nine holes of golf in the Reno/Tahoe area. Rolling fairways on the front, dramatic elevation changes on the back and some beautiful water features (especially on 10, 17 and 18) make this a course everyone should set out to play at least once.
