Course Review and Comments

Great layout with fantastic views all around. As mentioned there are too many of the small mounds in the fairways which makes it very confusing to the eye when trying to line up your drive and they can be a bit unfair when you hit the middle of the fairway and end up right in or behind one.
The greens are just ridiculous and almost all pin positions are impossible to get near unless hitting a sand iron from the fairway where you could stop it quickly. If the undulations were about half the height they are just now they might just be playable. Instead of all the run off areas on every green they should have some slight banked areas to stop the ball falling off after a decent shot.
I have read that some say the course is just too difficult but this is not quite true, it is a decent challenge but the greens are not hard just completely unfair and silly and you do not get any reward for good shots.
If the greens were altered and some of the mounds were removed then it would be well worth a visit.
As it is I would not go back and could not advise anyone to play it because it is just no fun when you can not hit the greens and even when you do a three or four put is the norm presuming you can keep the first put on the green!
I had been told that the shape of the greens were bad but I have never seen greens designed even close to these for stupidity. I would say that the design team should be looking for new employment because to come up with greens like this should just not be possible for someone that wants to be classed as a course designer.

Course Design Rating
Course Design Comments Very good hole design but it is a bit fussy with too many of the small mounds in the landing areas which give far too many blind tee shots.
Course Greens/Fairways Condition Rating
Course Greens/Fairways Condition Comments Actual putting surface is very good although because of the slopes the pace of them has to be quite slow.

Course Facilities Comments Clubhouse is well designed with a wonderfull view and the food was great, not cheap but similar to what you would pay at other courses in the same greenfee bracket.
