Course Review and Comments

They came so close to getting this golf course perfect - what the hell were they thinking with the greens? My advice is to go and play it and enjoy the views and the wonderful design from tee to green. It is to be experienced purely so that you can see how designers (or I suspect shapers) can get totally carried away.
As for the 20 handicapper that shot 85? No way on earth, not ever - he needs to be cut by at least 15 strokes if he shot 85 round there - on four occasions I four putted - on the 17th I was 6 feet behind the hole with my tee shot and had to put away from the hole and it still ran by the hole and off the green some 10 feet; all of our three ball were on the green in one, not one of us got a par and one of us had to use a sand wedge, hit it away from the hole into semi rough in order to get it to stop on the green about 15 feet from hole...
However if you actually want to be humiliated on a putting surface that is utterly ludicrous (many holes have no pin positions at all and most have only one or two) then go the Himalayas in town - it is 100 times cheaper and is supposed to be stupid, someone needs to be fired for signing these greens off as finished...

Course Greens/Fairways Condition Comments Opened a bit early and given that it is excellent, will mature well once a few drainage anomalies have been cleared up.
