I played the Old Course just once in near drought conditions, so the wear & tear of 40K rounds/year was evident. Nonetheless, it was a thrill. The course was playing very fast & firm. A caddie

The Old Course lives up to the expectations. I think the best thing about the course is that while you can just close your eyes and bomb your drive on a lot of holes, approach shots, chipping and putt
