Course Review and Comments
Ok, this is a true gem in the rough...I've played the Green Lakes Lawsonia links course for years...wonderful course, beautifully designed golf holes, tough. I moved to Antioch and checked out the nearby Spring Valley course because it's close. I had no idea it was also a William Langford designed course until I walked it a couple times. Playing the course from the tips is a great round of golf...blind tee shots, challenging par threes, sloped fairways and greens that make you earn it. Be prepared to be surprised. The facilities are ok, food is good, course is in pretty good shape considering the tough summer we had. You can't beat the prices either. Oh, did I tell you that this is one of two courses Langford designed without any bunkers? Before you get over confident, the elevated greens will bring you back to realty. Check it out, and enjoy. I'll be playing a lot of practice rounds at this course.
