Course Review and Comments
Sea Ranch Golf Links is a "challenging" course that requires good shot placement and the ability to manipulate the ball flight to the achieve the ideal landing area for your next shot. Prior reviewers have been critical of the lack of ocean views. Links course don't require ocean views! However the influence of the ocean breezes and the pervailing winds and moisture content of the air should and will come into play. Don't expect this course to be a easy walk in the park. Robert Muir Graves did an admirable job on this spectacular piece of land. There are no cart paths, each hole has numerous tee boxes to accomadate varied skill levels and the greens are uniformly small and will test your putting skill. I love this course and compare it with Spyglass. Among my favorites in CA. My top West Coast courses are Pumpkin Ridge, Pacific Dunes, Sea Ranch, Spyglass, Pelican Hills South, Harding Park and Torre Pines. Again RMG did a splendid job with this piece of land...without sacrificing land that was slated for custom homes.

An easy walking course, pretty good layout, greens were rolling well. Fair value for your dollar.
