Sakabula is a contradiction in many respects. First 9 is pleasant enough, but the 2nd 9 is a mishmash of oddly designed holes, almost as if the course designer ran out of space and crammed the holes into the space left over. The 2nd 9 is reminiscent of the old Huddle Park Public course in Johannesburg....poor tee boxes, fairways iffy, no cart paths from some greens to the following tee box, resulting in a bumpy ride through the veld to get there. Also, having no hole layout drawings on the tee boxes make some blind holes a gamble, as the golfer doesn't know what to expect.

The book-in procedure , done from the counter in the pub is also questionable, and set the tone for the rest of a totally forgettable experience.

Sorry Sakabula, you promise much, but deliver little of substance.
