Course Review and Comments
My wife and I played this course on a Sunday morning. There was no starter and the fellow who took our bags was basically left to tell us the rules and where to go. We paid our green fees and went out on the back nine first. Well, every green was top dressed to the point that you couldn't putt your ball properly. It was a terrible experience and I will not be going back and will pass this onto anyone that I talk to about our trip. The person in the pro shop did not tell us about the top dressing of the greens and when I went into see him half way through our round, he stated that the guys on the course did not tell him about the top dressing. I work at a Pro shop at home and we always know what is happening on our course so that we may pass it onto our customers, who are the most important people to us. So not only did I have a bad experience on the course but the people in the Pro shop were not completely up front or helpful. How do you think that made us feel?

Mr. Palmer would be very disappointed to come back here and play the course. Horrible greens and the rest of the course around the marsh is falling into the river. No maintenance is the theme there!

Have been reading the threads of comments here and there are no new ones since 2009. IN the summer of 2009 the bentgrass greens were replaced with Paspalum which can survive the heat of the summer as

Way way way way over-rated in the area. Really gimmicky layout, short, and not very interesting. 9th hole par 5 is just bad design, one par three has a tee box about the size of a dining room table.

I have played this course a number of times now when going on a Myrtle Beach trip with the guys. I have never been disappointed. The facilities are beautiful and all holes are a picture in a frame. Th

NO WAY! Top "100"? The greens were terrible. One green was completely burned up and the started said they were 8 on the stimp meter. I don't think they were even that much. It was a great

It really bothers me that this is a course that's in the Top 100 Publicin Golf Digest. It's beautiful, sure, but the course isn't kept in great shape. The 5th green is completely dead. There's a par-5

They were doing some construction work around the course, but other than that, it was in pretty good shape. Some of the views were incredible.

Greens were in horrible shape. There was mud around every green also. The white tees play too short.
