Course Review and Comments

This is the 2nd time I've played this course and I would have to say it's not one of my favorites yet. I would play it again and would recommend it to others with some reservation but there are other courses in the Tucson area that I would rather play, in particular Ventana, La Paloma, Vistoso and Arizona National among others.

Course Design Rating
Course Design Comments	The course design uses the area topography well and maximizes the impact of elevation and scenic vistas. The fairways are wide and reasonably forgiving but the greens are somewhat difficult and tricky. Putts move slower than on most desert course greens with lots of undulation. In my opinion, higher handicap players could get very frustrated with this course and lower handicap players may not be rewarded for great shots into the greens.

Course Greens/Fairways Condition Comments	This is a new course and needs a little more time to mature. To be fair, it's the middle of summer and not many course in this area are in the best shape this time of year.

Course Service Comments	Starter (Carl?) was great. Knows his job extremely well and is anxious to please. At the end of the round, the golf cart attendant didn't offer to clean my playing partner's golf clubs until he asked. Valet parking service was prompt.
Course Facilities Rating
Course Facilities Comments	Other than the beverage cart and a high end restaurant, there is no other food/beverage available at this time. They said that they would be opening a bar/grill when the hotel opens in December 2009. Golf shop is well appointed and stocked with latest clothing styles and equipment.
