Course Review and Comments
I just moved to the area and was looking for a course membership somewhere close by. Well, there aren't any good private clubs and was forced to go with Indian Springs/Woodland. What a HUGE mistake that was!!! First off, a membership is $1,600. It was dirt cheap but you get what you pay for. I thought that a membership meant that you got to go out and play whenever you wanted to, as much as you wanted to (I got the best membership available). Wrong! I guess that I play too much!!! Seriouslly?! What the hell? I pay to play, sooooo...The course is looking a little better now but the fairways look like crap! And some of the greens, well, half of the green is "ground under repair". The holes by the main road (S.R. 161) look good. They want people to go by and think/say "Gee whiz, that course looks beautiful. I'd like to play there". What a joke! 90% of the other holes, you can't tell the fairways from the rough and the tee boxes as well.
I can't believe it though. They, well, Jim Long (the owner) said that I played too much. That's the whole reason why I purchased a membership in the first place, to play golf! Let me tell you something else, Jim Long is an jerk! He LOOKS like a nice guy and will smile/shake your hand the first time you meet him but he is the biggest back stabber on the face of the earth! He always has something bad to say about you, your family, your children!!! Hell, even if he doesn't know you I guarantee that he'll say something rude. If he looks at you and thinks "I don't like him/her" he'll charge you $5-$10 more to play! It's ridiculous!
Now, Kyle, the GM at Woodland is a great guy! Woodland is a decent course but still isn't kept in good shape. The tee boxes are only 10 yards apart so even if you play from the back, it'd be like hitting from the front. It really doesn't matter where you play from because it's the same distance on pretty much every hole.
Needless to say, I'm DONE with the Indian Springs/Woodland Golf Club(s). There's a private country club 30 minutes from me. Even though the drive will be longer, it'll be worth the switch! Just remember, you always get what you pay for!

OK, first of all...I'm not a real golfer...or love the game?! Are you serious? That's the first lame comment. Second, the course is in horrible, HORRIBLE, condition. Hell, call the course and he'll pr
