Course Review and Comments

Played this course in a foursome vacationing from Indiana which included a club pro. Given the fact that it is carved out of a mountain and has little room for straight holes it does an excellent job of compensating by utilizing short doglegs, but it is difficult the first time to know exactly where to hit your first shot. Other than a 110 yard par three the course makes up for its lack of length in the par fours and fives with longer par threes especially a 233 yd monster.
The club pro was over the green with a mid iron but no one else that we played with in six other rounds even came close to reaching the green. It seems a bit unfair to average golfers. The best thing about the course is the unbelievable scenery. The worst thing for me was trying to figure if the greens were really sloping up or down but the locals did not seem to have the same problem. All and all this is as enjoyable and as good of a value as any course I have ever played. It is worth a trip to Burbank to play this course.
