Course Review and Comments
This is just an average public course. I have played here many times and the conditions of the course really don't change, so I know the recent rain isn't what made the conditions this bad.
The fairways were actually in good shape. A little hard to differentiate between the fairway and rough or the fairway and green in some spots, but other than that the fairways were ok. The greens on the other hand were outrageous. Many of the holes had tons of mud spots were there was literally no grass in that area, making putting and attempting to read the green incredibly challenging if not near impossible. Don't expect to be able to judge the speed or break of the greens here during any weather conditions.
The lady in the "clubhouse" (which is really more of an upgraded shack), was very friendly and she has been there before and is always super nice. However, the guy mowing the grass was a totally different story. Not only did he seem to follow us from hole to hole on the first half of the back 9, on one hole he kept driving in circles around the green making our drive and fairway shots more of a try not to hit him shot. Then as we approached the green, the circles continued and we were within 10 yards from him and he didn't bother to stop to let us hit around him, he just continued. We had to wait for about 15 minutes to let him finish enough in front of the green so he would go around to the back side of the green so we could hit. I understand his job is to mow the grass and that would take him forever if he stopped for every folder on that hole, but when we are right up on him and he his completely ignoring the fact we are right there and holding us and the two groups behind us up, I just think that is uncalled for. Not to mention a "sorry" or "give me a me minute and I will be out of your way". It was just frustrating how rude he was being.
The past few times we have played Pine Hills, we have always gone during the twilight price of $20 and I always felt that was pushing the limit of an acceptable price for the conditions of the course, but today, due to work schedule, we had to play during normal hours and pay the full price of $25 for 18 w/ a cart. I can honestly say that is the last time I will justify paying $25 for this course. The Chimneys is only about 5 minutes away from Pine Hills and for $10 more it is a better course and it is unlimited golf M-Th before 3pm.
Will I continue to go to Pine Hills, yeah. Only because it is close and the twilight special price is ok for just wanting to play a cheap round of golf.

I just finised playing this course and the experience was not too enjoyable. The course is not in great shape and the greens are more like carpet (very long). Also there are no distinguishable fairway
