Course Review and Comments
Parkland is one of the three Legends Resort courses. It was designed by the Legends Group in the style of Alistair Mackenzie (Augusta) and George Thomas (Riviera). I think I read that the design director at the time was actually Mike Stranz, the genius designer of Caledonia, True Blue and Tobacco Road. A very old time feel with modern length. Visually appealling and a very challenging course from the tips at 7170 yards at 74.9/136. I ranked it, from the tips, the most difficult of the 3 Legends tracks. The homes are not intrusive and attractive for the most part, not taking away anything from the course or its woodsland setting. The course plays long and lean. Park like aesthetics and a tournament course layout. Highly recommend.
