Course Review and Comments
If you happen to find your self in Paraguay & wish to play golf, this is a well maintained course that runs along the river with nice views. The most interesting part of playing this course is the security, once they are notified that a golfer is on the course, you are provided an armed horseman who watches the perimeter for any intruders. The security does not intrude on your game & we found him to be fascinating complete with his AK47. This is not a "destination" course, but if you happen to find yourself in the region, hire yourself an armed escort from the airport (we did) and once you arrive at the hotel you will find a small upscale community with delightful service. It is blocks away from the port which has ferry service via a dirt ramp to a WWII era car ferry to Argentina. Warning, even though the port is little more than a shack, don't forget to have your passport stamped or you will spend your day repeating your steps. By all means this course is a true adventure, well kept & it's unlikely you will have to wait for a tee time.
