Course Review and Comments
Probably the most under-rated course in the Chippewa Valley. The grounds keeping, maintenance, and condition of the greens is exceptional. It is a mature, wooded course, that looks short, and not too difficult at first glance. However that is the beauty of the setup. This course, will not punish or confuse many golfers, but it is far from a pushover. It will challenge you, and you will use your full bag. Holes 4,5,6 from the back tees are challenging. The 5th hole from the back tee plays at least two clubs longer than expected, and don't be too embarrassed if you hear your shot go off the maintenance shed. It won't be the first time it's happened, and it surely won't be the last. The seventh hole has a two tier green that based on pin placement, can be a three putt possibility, even for the low handicapper. The elevated tee at the 8th hole invites many to "open it up", often which leads to a less than positive outcome. The ninth hole plays long, and thoughts of a cold brew, or the parking lot nestled to the green can cause you to over-think your approach. The staff, and the atmosphere is relaxed, and friendly. A must visit for golfers who happen to be in Chippewa Falls, and it is very convenient to the Leinenkugel Brewery, and Irvine Park. Check it out!!
