Ocean Harbour was one of the most memorable golf courses ever built in the Myrtle Beach area. located just north of town in the fishing community of calabash, it was perhaps architect Clyde Johnston's all-time masterpiece. Unfortunately, it fell victim to a new owner's mismanagement, conditions deteriorated, and the course closed several years ago. Each year we hear a new rumor of it re-opening, but, sadly, it still lies, overgrown and unoccupied, at its hauntingly beautiful seaside setting.
