Course Review and Comments
I played this course instead of the damn Goat Farm Country Club that is in Fowler. And let me tell you, this course is hand over fist better that that piece of shit.
First, this course has a full 18 holes, not a 9 hole course with different tee boxes (GFCC). For this reason alone I gave the course a 3 star rating on design. Additionally, there were some challenging shots over water that made the course extra exciting. I did see some locals out on the course, and they seemed to be uptight asses who used coached at the high school... I gave the course a 3 star rating on condition as well. Again, simply because it wasn't the piece of shit in Fowler. There were a few areas that I would resod/mow/water/pay attention to/care about/no one fucking reads this. The 1 star rating for service and facilities is because the Country Club employees weren't the most polished individuals I've ever met. But nice enough for Benton County I suppose. The locker room needs a complete remodel, including removal of the nasty, stained carpet. The owner needs to take responsibility and reinvest in his business to make this a continued success. All in all, I would recommend this course to anyone looking for the best option Benton County has to offer. However, there are other courses within a 30-40 minute drive that I would prefer to play. These are more expensive though. Overall, a great bargain for the full 18 holes.
Oh, and the club record is complete bullshit. The man was playing ALONE and managed to shoot the best score he has ever had in his long, lame ass life. He should be ashamed of himself.
