Course Review and Comments
The Good: Sporty, fun links-style layout just north west of Fort Wayne has a little bit of everything: lots of sand, lots of water, and a nice mixture of woodlands. Very demanding Par 5's and Par 3's and good variation with the Par 4's. Inviting course from the tee with a lot of room for the weekend hacker. The course conditions, sans the sand traps, are in very good shape. Green complexes are very undulating and smooth, providing great challenge. Decent clubhouse with pavilion for events. Very accommodating service will make sure you enjoy the experience. Excellent value at $45 weekend high season.
The Bad: Course can be treacherous when windy. Sand traps are very poor with texture of dirt. Lack of GPS is a glaring omission from course amenities. No bathroom facilities other than a couple outhouses. If anything, the Par 4's are lackluster compared to the Par 3's and Par 5's.
The Verdict: Noble Hawk is the best value in the Fort Wayne area. Forgiving enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Bring your A game knock down shot and putter.
Best Hole: The signature hole is the long Par 3 #15, but the best hole by far is the long Par 5 13th that requires two shots over creeks.
