Course Review and Comments
I was a member from 1989 to 2003. This is one of only a few courses where I can say EVERY hole is memorable! And every hole has a unique challenge. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay outdid themselves on this course. The first club pro, Randy Glover, said this was to be the 'Pine Valley of the South' and it achieved its objective (I've played both). My brother & I were playing #7 (signature par 3) with Gene Thompson, the pro from Woodbridge Golf Links in Kings Mountain, NC when Randy Glover drove up to join Gene. Randy showed us where Ed Seay originally wanted to put the tee on #7 and Randy said to him "God, Ed, they have to be able to finish the round". Some of the original difficulties were erased due to flooding and dead trees but this remains as one of the BEST courses ever!
Put this one on your bucket list.
