Course Review and Comments
Can see what the previous two reviews mean. I stumbled across this review and although it was back in August I thought having seen the reviews I should add my points.
I do presume the previous guy means £350 -£400 for full membership if he says associates at £250. I couldn't agree more the price of this course gives off a very different idea to what it really is.
No practice facility says it all very disappointing for any club but a new build???
The toilets I also agree with one urinal and 7 of us wanting it. None of us thought of using the showers but if I ever go back I will seen as members clearly do.
Blue paper rolls to dry your hands and they had finished so had to use toilet paper. No soap which was in a fancy dispenser at £630 you would expect facilities are topped up.
Not sure about comments about pro apart from not very welcoming from anyone in the shop which was disappointing. Perhaps with the club being overpriced it gives everyone is complacent at earning their money at this club.
Did buy a roll and a pint and service was good. Agree a bit loud and there were mobile phones in use but I don't mind that would prefer if the clubhouse and facilities lived up to the price tag we expected and presume this is what the other two reviews mean.
Also no par 5. So also agree with that point!
Many many negatives about this course and would agree the points above alone put this course firmly in a price range of £350 and not the price which is double that.
I would not recommend this course and as the previous review says lack of facilitites there are much better value for money out there and in that area. I live in East Kilbride and Torrance and Langlands, both municipal course have better facilities. I was only visiting but as a businessman like to have memberships for clients i would not use Mount Ellen at this time.

I felt the course was tightly packed especially around the 14th green or 12th tee or 15th tee. Trying to take a piss there was almost impossible!

I think all the reviews thus far have been far too polite. This is a short course and not challenging. It is looking well and so it should for the inflated price.

I would question anyone who is critical of this good test of golf. No par 5's? - Big deal, there are plenty of challenging holes and all greens are well protected by bunkers. A good water hazard fea

The individuals who have previously rated the course are way of the mark. Although the course is short it has small tight well manicured greens and fairways. The clubhouse is ideal for the majority of

I am a member who pays £630 a year for as the previous reviewers rightly point out poor facilities that are priced at the high end of the market.
For this price i don't even get a locker.

No Practice facilities and very over priced for the facilities. One guy did not wait on urinal and urinated in the shower due to size of facilites.
Decorum and hospitality for a golf club very poor

The clubhouse was new and as I was considering joining also judged the course on the inflated membership fee. At £630 only Drumpellier is more expensive in the region. I expected great things with th
