This course is in absolutely phenomenal shape. After playing a couple of other courses around the area, I figured this would be in similar condition for spring in Michigan, but to my surprise, it was way better.

You cannot beat the value of this course while they have the early season rates.

For a high handicapper (like me) this course is ideal. Course wasn't designed to be difficult - lots of open areas, not a lot of hazards, but at the same time, nothing is neglected. The greens are smooth, the fairways are well manicured and even the rough is nicer than a lot of fairways on other courses I've played. Even the bunkers are filled with nice sand. Only found one spot in 18 holes that was soggy, and for spring in MI, that's unheard of.

Only con to the whole experience was the amount of traffic on the course (also played Friday 4/6 and slow that day too), but I guess that's to be expected when it's such a nice place and it's so inexpensive - even on Masters weekend.

All in all, if you have the time, you need to check this course out. It's worth the drive. You will not be disappointed.
