Course Review and Comments
I really like this course. The condition of the course is well kept... I guess what I'm really looking at are the greens. The greens are fast which is good. They're also tricky if you don't read them right. I've had the privilege of playing the course when it was windy and when it wasn't windy. The difference was 3 strokes more on the windier day. Overall, it's a great way to practice your short game, and adjusting your club selection depending on which way the wind is blowing.
After my windy round, I practiced at driving range for a bit.
I thought my shots were leaking to the right but came to find out that when I played a draw shot, it went straight. I was facing 45 degrees to my left with a crosswind into my shot. Sure enough, it went straight. So with that, I learned a lot about how to apply the shots I've learned over a span of time.
The driving range has the best mats I've ever seen. Dump your golf balls in the ball well and an automatic tee replenishes the ball and counts the amount of balls you have left.
I write this review humbly. I'm no stud on the course, but it feels good to hit the shot you want - when you want it. All I'm saying, is I'm continuously learning, and a portion of my learning, was done at Mariners Point. Thank you and God bless.
