I would enthusiastically recommend this experience to anyone who is hardy, loves golf and is a purist of the game. I love everything about it, as did my wife and our two friends. I can't understand th

I would recommend this course purely with the proviso that they get all their greens up to scratch. Out of the 18 at least half were heavily sanded and one was totally unplayable. The tees, fairways,

The Dunes is hilarilously brilliant. If you want to play a perfectly manicured parkland layout where the course is played through the air to drop and stop on the greens - don't bother with the Dunes.

If I had paid £ 60 or more to play this, I would have been very disappointed. The course-design is nice, especially the front 9, but the condition of the course put me off. Given it's young, I might

After hearing all the adverse comments about this course I decided to give it a try. Must say I was hugely impressed by the condition of tees and greens for such a new course. Did not get a bad lie on

Machrihanish Dunes is neither a walk in the park nor a good walk spoiled. It is not to be missed by fans of links golf but requires a links mentality -- you are not going to score well on your first

This is not a course for pansies. If you don't consider walking a part of golf, stay away. If you don't consider nature a part of golf, stay away. If you can't stand the thought of getting an unluc

Machrihanish Dunes is fantastic. I think the natural terrain and the concerns for the environment have created a superb layout that the true fan of links golf will find unique, challenging and memora

Macrahanish Old is a great course and makes this journey worth making. Unfortunately Mac Dunes adds no value and should be purposely avoided when traveling to the area. A nice alternative from a sceni

The course is not even close to being ready to be played on. I have never hit so many blind shots in one round before - it gets tedious. As for the walks between tee and green don't even get me starte

This is how Scottish golf began and requires a whole range of skills to play especially if the wind blows. We were lucky to play on one of the hottest days of the year and in benign conditions but I w
