Course Review and Comments

I would recommend this course purely with the proviso that they get all their greens up to scratch. Out of the 18 at least half were heavily sanded and one was totally unplayable. The tees, fairways, even the walks between tees, were all fine. The layout smashing. Some really, really nice holes on the back nine. It will be a cracking course in time. It actually felt at times like playing an extension of the Old Machrihanish course. Facilities etc for me don't matter, it's the course that counts, so now for the bad bit. Given all I have said, £35 was borderline too much. I can imagine a few disgruntled golfers who've paid top dollar, considering you can play the Old course for less, and it's in sparkling nick. Get the greens sorted, and you have a great course. Until then, it will disappoint more than it will please. Incidentally, our two ball went round, off the whites in 3.5 hours and lost one ball. I play off 13 and my neighbour 10. We had the course to ourselves mind you!
