Course Review and Comments
I played this course with three others while on vacation in Lake Leelenau. After playing nine holes with more than half of the holes under construction (including one par 5 with 75% of the fairway roped off) and tractors moving dirt around with no regards to the golfers on the course, we decided we had had enough. At no time were we informed that the course was undergoing significant repair. After talking to the manager we were very surprised to not receive a refund for the 9 remaining holes we had not played. All he would do was issue a rain check for the 9 holes we had already paid for. We said that we would not be returning to the area within the next few years, he still stood by only issuing the rain check which was worthless to us. I would not have any problem with the condition of the course if we had been told up front about the conditions, or been issued a refund for the holes we had not played. It was terrible customer service and I do not plan on ever returning if I vacation in the area again. Also, of note I had played the course two years prior and was very happy with my experience, so hopefully just one bad experience that will not happen to others.
