Course Review and Comments
It's been raining here daily for nearly 2 months and this course was only damp in a few spots. Before Hurricane Katrina, the course was OK, but not something you felt you needed to play. Now, the course drains better than most in town, it's been redone in so many positive ways. You first note it on the 3rd hole which now has a pond and bunker fronting the green, for a new challenge. Cross bunkers on the 6th are new and add a challenge to what was a relatively easy hole. And the finishing hole got a pond to threaten approach shots. It was redone very well overall and the draining makes it that much better - you won't lose a day's play waiting for the course to dry out. And the rates are very favorable - they have a summertime special of $25. I used to play the course a lot when I was in college, now it again becomes a place I like to play.

MANY OLDER PLAYERS PLAYING THIS COURSE DROP OUT BECAUSE OF EXCESSIVE CART PATH ONLY, SOME HOLES ARE WET, OTHERS PLAYABLE. IN MOST CASES ONLY A FEW HOLES ARE REALLY WET.
