Course Review and Comments

This course rated high for comedic value. Laughter started on the first tee box when we were swarmed by killer mosquitos and could not discern the fairway from the rough. Although we paid for 18 holes we left after 9, by choice. Here is a summary:

-Tee Boxes: uneven, chewed up, poorly marked
-Fairways: narrow, unmowed, very weedy, can't distinguish from rough
-Rough: lots of standing water, which explains the mosquito infestation
-Greens: mostly weeds (crab grass or St. Augustine) but they were mowed and rolled if that is any consolation
-Traps: none
-Cart Paths: by the 4th hole the paved cart path turned into a dirt path(!) then back to paved by the 5th hole
-Flags: the 6th hole flag looked like someone hung their old torn unwear on a stick
-9th Hole: balls from the first hole peppered the 9th fairway. Duck for cover!

Overall, Heron Lakes is a overpriced goat ranch that should be ashamed of itself.
