Course Review and Comments
Although this is the sister course to Mauna Kei and is a highly rated course to play I found it not to be as good as others in the area for less $$$$..
There were some severe turf conditions during my rounds there, and the greens were not in the best of shape--BUT to their favor they were going to do aerations to the Fairways and Greens starting 2 April 2008 and anyone may find this course in great shape after that date....This is truly a work of art to look at and play with all the undulations and typical Palmer designs..
Large Greens, rolling fairways, and tight second shots abound, and if the winds were as they were the days I played there--Do alot of praying and carry extra balls, and...just be thankful there are no snakes on the island cause the native grasses have a way of commandering your golf balls during windy conditions and as the sign in the Pro Shop stated there are "No Windchecks Given"....Very Testy indeed, but a delight to behold!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was asked by an old friend that belongs to this and another Country Club in the area to join them for a fun Monday of golf before the Fairways and Greens had aeration done to them and I gladly accep
