Course Review and Comments
Hamilton Trails Golf Course should be forgotten. This is not a good value at all. About 15 years ago this was a solid golf course but has obviously been neglected and abused since. Most of the tee boxes are in shambles with patchy dieing grass, weeds, dead and uneven earth. The fairways are just as bad with huge areas of dieing grass or totally dead areas with weeds intermingled. Almost the entire collection of fairways seem to be ground under repair due to the lack of effort and funding from the facility. The rough is a mixture of uneven weeds and unkempt dieing grass with patches of desolate hardpan. In front of many of the greens there is no transition from the miserable fairway to what should be the green, instead there is dead hardpan. The greens are patchy and unkempt with tire treads randomly going thru 2 of the holes. There are areas of dieing grass on the greens as well. The grass isn't healthy enough to cut to a realistic length for the greens which leaves it very uneven since the dead areas are obviously faster than the overgrown bits of grass. For around $20 for 9 holes and around $30 for 18 the prices are unrealistic for what is honestly an unplayable course. There are many golf courses in the area that are only a few dollars more and provide a much greater value. I'm embarrassed that this is where I learned the game of golf as a child and hope that one day the course will be taken care of and be a place to have pride in. Please avoid Hamilton Trails at all costs.

Hamilton Trails is a good value for the money. The course was in surprisingly good condition considering the harsh winter South Jersey has endured. It's a fun golf course with a nice mixture of holes.
