Course Review and Comments
Tricky greens with false fronts and tight, short holes personify this hilly old classic designed by Alister MacKenzie. As always, Mr. MacKenzie's bunkering is beautifully done. This course needs to be played several times before it can be enjoyed as course knowledge is a big plus here. I'm a fairly long hitter and rarely hit driver, primarily hitting three wood and hybrid off the tee to stay in the narrow, short fairways. Two par 3's, #'s 13 and 15, feature unfair greens with false fronts that many would consider ridiculous--beware! The new clubhouse is currently under construction, the practice putting green is the size of a postage stamp, and the driving range is inconveiniently located away from the clubhouse and first tee. Also, there were no signs at any of the tee boxes indicating the hole number, so you must play with someone that knows the course. I'd like to play it again, but IMHO there are a number of better private and public courses in the Bay Area.

My comments are just for the people of the Millbrae and peninsula region. I am a Black person, use to be a fan of Calvin Peete, but don't take gold seriously anymore. My problem is your honkies, and
