Course Review and Comments
So, I have played the course at least a dozen times. To everyone who has difficulty with this course, and I am no exception, I have found that learning to putt better, choosing the CORRECT tee blocks, and not muscling up EVERY shot will improve your game. The first time I played the course, I had the wrong mentality when approaching it. I played form the Bronze challenge tees. this is where they reccomend you play the first time. Like I stated earlier, I hit the ball 275 in the air, this results in VERY long drives, albeit a little off line sometimes. I had a 24 handicap back then and got off the course with a 125, that's a 50 index for those who don't keap track. The problem was that I was thinning all my wedge shots, 3 and 4 putting almost every hole and loosing at least a ball on every hole. Most of the lost balls came form my distance. the next time I played I choose the silver tournament tees, this resulted in less balls throught the fairways on miss hits and less lost balls. I was still putting terribly, but I had brought my score down 10 strokes at the time. Now I feal more than confortable playing on their long Gold tees the championship tees. This fits perfectly for my game and if the wind will alow I can still cut certain dog leggs right off, but just bearely. it's very fun to play. this summer I played 88 89 91. from the golf tess these come out to 12 index, so I know this course can play to your handicap, the key is that you have to be on your A game and be willing to hit different clubs off the tee. I suppose that if you can bomb hits like m,yself, then you can play this course a little easier, afterall I would expect a john daly signature course to be geared to the big hitters, wouldn't you?

The disign is a wonderful figure 8 with hidden undulation not only on the greans but the fairways also, the course is flat but the holes are so spread out that you never really see other golfers, very nice. |

The greens are always fast. if you don't spend 15 minutes practicing you will loose 10 strokes on the putting greens. the fairways are always VERY tight, so 9 iron bump and runs are a must for ANY shot around the green, unless you are in the thick ruff of course. |

On course service is always superb. I have had more experience in the club house, buying clubs, using their services for club repair etc. I will admit that the guys who run the shop do tend to be on the snooty side, luckily I have played enough that they respect my game. |

great practice green, and warmup practice green, excelent short game facilities, superb driving range. The only down side to the range is a, I feel cramped. I hit a drive about 275 in the air, I know my shots can some times run inot the fairways on the left, this worries me a little. if they had desigened the range with mor eroom to the right I wouldn't fret. b, this is a big one for buisness. No night range practice. I live about 50 minutes away, but I would come down twice a week to hit balls in the evening. this would result in a higher prbability of me dropping a few bucks at the casino also. THEIR reasoning is that it would detract from the casino, my rebuttle to this? Why build a golf course then? I come to golf, not gamble, I'd have a higher likelyhood of gambling if I'm on the premisses, right? |

a tough course for sure, exacerbated by wind. the native grasses make any errant shot a lost ball, and with no parallel fairways, you have to keep it in the short stuff. watch the forecast for winds

Now mind you, this course is a challenge, pick your tee blocks wisely. on a windy day the gusts can easily sustain 50 mile an hour. on a mild day you are still looking at 10-15 mph winds with gusts up

This is just a clarification. I tried to put my handicap down as not established. I've only been playing for a year. I also tried to put the price I paid down as 2 for 1 through " Club 19 Golf &q

What a tough course. Windy day, so keeping the ball on the fairway was tough. Lost my first ball when my approach shot was about 2 feet to the left of the #1 green, watched it bounce and into a reed

I read a negative review of this fine course and couldn't believe it. Obviously, this 14 handicapper Holman had more agenda than game. This is one of the only real links style courses you can play in

I had both a good and bad experience at Sevillano.
First thing is the practice area. I would consider it first rate. Driving range, practice green and putting green were all in excellent shape. Th

I do not know why a course would set a course up this way with second cut of rough being over 4 inches. The rough is all native grasses also and results in a lost ball in most places and 6 hour round
