Course Review and Comments
Don't be surprised to encounter geriatric staff members with a free ticket to discriminate and harass you, or be kicked out if you demnd fair treatment and refuse to be harrassed. Don't expect a "good morning" or "have a nice round". Don't be surprised to be asked to wait for others who play golf every Saturday morning and are not asked to reserve a tee time because they have been playing there for some time and know the staff.
Pat Johnson, a 90 yr old starter with a power trip, has mastered the art of ruining your weekend round of golf. This lady stayed back in the 1900s, someone needs to remind her that golf has come a long way socially...She will rush you, be rude, and/or harass you. The frequency of this behavior gets to the point where it is expected by me, my friends and other individuals that play there, some of which I know, some not, whose jaws drop at the level of rudeness displayed by this person and do not know how to react to it. It is truly an extremely uncommon situation to go through, uncomfortable and uncalled for.
Me and my playing partners were harassed, yelled at, physically threatened by members, asked to leave the premises for demanding fair treatment and refusing to be harassed without an opportunity to explain ourselves.
I have in the past experienced instances where this person asked to present my credit card to verify my identity and the veracity of my golf reservation (no other golfer present was asked to present this), and most recently my playing partner was told “ I was born in this country” when asked to verify the spelling of his name for the golf log!!!(true story). If you are in the "circle of trust", playing in this beautiful course CAN be a pleasant experience, but for some of us it cannot.
It's a shame because the scenery and course are beautiful.
