Course Review and Comments

First off, the green fees are steep, really too steep but I was tagging along with a group of guys who already had the trip booked so I was in no position to argue. We also played the Ross Course and stayed at the casino/hotel so it was a first-class trip. The Dye course is really too hard. I'm a scratch player and was with a bunch of guys that were high single and double digit players and it was way too much course for those guys and plenty for me. Problem I had was there are a decent amount of semi-blind shots to thin, ribbon fairways that are angled and it's basically impossible to know what line to take. From the tees we played you just couldn't see where you were trying to hit the ball and the stances in the fairways (and even worse in the roughs!) are really difficult. On the positive, the vistas are spectacular as is the clubhouse and the entire feel of the place. I would play it again (hopefully for a lot better rate) and would do a lot better knowing what's going on with a lot of the holes.
