Course Review and Comments

Again, if you are looking for private course layout/atmoshere/conditions go elsewhere. If you are learning the game, want to bring someone along who does not play often, or bring you son/daughter along its a great place for the price. For more accomplished players they can always home their skills before heading to the name courses. The course is only a 15 minute drive from Center City Philly.

Course Design Rating
Course Design Comments Of course this is not Merion, and comparing any public city course to any "name" private course is missing the point. This is a great course to learn the game and take someone who does not play often, or to bring your son or daughter. The front 9 is wide open, and a few of the holes on the back are a little tighter. There are 4 par 3's (2 on the short side and 2 longer). Most of the par 4's are short, but 2 of the par 4's are a real challenge for the mid/high handicapper (the 10th and 16th hole in particular.)
To have a chipping green as well as a driving range (and of course a putting green) is a plus for a course of this type and benefits all golfers.
Course Greens/Fairways Condition Rating
Course Greens/Fairways Condition Comments Greens are in good condition with the exception of the 5th hole. Most but not all teeboxes are in good to very good condition. Fairways for the most part age in good condition.
Course Service Rating
Course Service Comments Friendly staff who will answer any you have and are concerned that you experience is a good one.
