Course Review and Comments

The facilities were beautiful and the staff were great. They gave us rec's for where to play next. My complaint lies in the design of the course. Trying to compete with some gorgeous courses on the grandstand, it seems as they went for aesthetics over playability. The cart path is a waste bunker about 15 yards wide on each side of the fairway. I didn't play great golf here, but missing fairways and landing in waste bunkers leaves you frustrated all day. The greens were very hard and some were stained by poor irrigation. I brought an 8 Iron on one Par 3 and it one-hopped off as if hitting rock. Again, my game may not have been a fair indication of the course, but I found the design to be more 'pretty' than it was fair. Very difficult track for a high handicap golfer.
