Course Review and Comments
I have played well over 100 rounds of golf at Eagle Vines since they opened. But I will never go back. The last three times I have played there the pace of play was so slow we were looking at 6 to 7 hour rounds. Last Sunday was it for me. It took us an hour and a half to play four holes and there were four groups stacked up on 5. One group spent over 15 minutes on the green at 5, and there wasn't a marshall in sight. We called the pro shop and were told there was nothing they could do about the pace of play...they really said that. This has been going on for about two years now. Basically, the members, (most of whom know nothing about course management, etiquette or the rules of golf), are running the show out there. And the staff is too afraid of offending them to make them comply with something as simple as maintaining pace of play. Sad thing is, this should be, (and once was), a premier golf course in Northern California. Now it is no better than municipal nightmare. Don't waste your money, unless you like a 7 hour round of golf.

The Bar was a great place to meet my wife for a drink after my golf. She was returning from Palo Alto.
Beautiful view and great staff behind the bar (Jennifer).
