Course Review and Comments
A nice flat 9 hole course which offers excellent value for money and is only a 15/20 minute drive from Turin city centre. Although Druento has a reputation as being easy it does offer some surprises, as on the 6th hole with a dog leg to the right which requires some good tactics to get over/around the trees.
The 4th par 3 is a good hole to practice a longish chip to the green which is protected by a couple of bunkers. The other par 3 hole (7th) also has the flag craftily behind a bunker.
There are a couple of shortish par fives (2nd & 5th) which also help hone a tyro's game. The 8th and 9th holes are quite easy, although the 8th hole has a nasty bunker which has been the downfall of over confident players!
Most high handicap players should, however come away with a sense of satisfaction and even a birdie or two.
I had a beautiful extra as I played on a clear day with views of the Alps from Mont Viso right up to Monte Rosa in the Aosta Valley.
The staff there are very friendly and the restaurant with tasty food.
