Course Review and Comments

Dogwood Lakes Golf Club is a great golf course with a great history. Don't know why the write ups here say the course was built in 1962. It was not. It was opened for play and membership in 1968. When the original owner died in 1978, it had had the back nine for four years. It changed hands many time before the prior owner to the present, and was renamed Bonifay Country Club. In 1994, with a letter to the then owner, he was convinced to rename it to Dogwood Lakes Golf Club, to take advantage of the great reputation and good will already in place for years as Dogwood Lakes golf course. This is a great track. Anyone that can break 80 from the tips at DWLGC can golf his ball. You'll be lucky to end a round with the same ball, grin. The new owners are nice, and the good works done by the prior owner still shines. DWLCG's time has come.
