Course Review and Comments

We played after a week of some heavy rain so, to rate the overall condition at this point in time might not be fair. It was ok, not spectacular. The greens were variable, some fast some molasses slow. Typical N Florida layout, narrow fairways, dog legs to make up for a lack of elevation. The place was deserted except for a few groups of elderly and a walker in front of us which made for an agonizingly slow round. The rate dropped on 6/1 but it is still not competitive with other area courses. Unfortunately, unless they become more competitive from the price standpoint I don't see the Grand Club being around in a year. Now that hurts because we really want to see the Matanzas course reopened. We're trying to support the Grand Club but their rates exceed the competition by $10 or more per round.
