Course Review and Comments
I have been playing Crowders since i was a little kid, and have returned after a long haitus. Sadly, it is clear that the economy has affected even this remote golf course, the once rather steep green fee for the area (36 or so) had dropped down to a paltry $22. Still, the course was in very excellent condition for the most part, and the greens rolled true and fast. Some holes need to be played rather than described, such as Youngs Revenge, arguably the hardest par 5 in the world.

Built into the side of a mountain, Crowders Mountain has it all. Severe downhill par threes over water, doglegs every which way, risk/reward opportunities on several holes. Very excellent course design in my opinion. |
